We've been proudly manufacturing our leather conditioner out of Portland, Oregon, since 1927 using the same ingredients and recipe since the beginning. We blend our original leather conditioner one batch at a time and carefully ensure that today's Snowshoe Leather Conditioner is the exact same high quality we have been providing to our loyal customers for nearly 100 years.

Family Run

Snowshoe was incorporated in the Fall of 1927 in Portland, Oregon. Jack Dees (far right), a Navy veteran from World War II, purchased the company in the 1950s for his father (far left) to keep him busy after retirement from a career in the railroad business. Since then, this small family business has been passed down four generations. It continues to be run with the same small batch approach and traditional recipe. Our leather conditioner is carefully hand-poured then capped and readied for shipping in pretty much the same way since the 1950s. Each generation learns from the next, growing the business and brand, and keeping true to a simple motto of quality first.

Developed in Portland, Oregon, where we really know rain, damp, and cold, Snowshoe Leather Conditioner is made with a blend of nature’s finest and hardest waxes, permeating deep into the leather allowing it to keep its natural condition; soft, pliable and waterproof.
