1) Leather can and should last a lifetime if you take good care of it.
2) Ideally condition leather once a season - more if it's extra "thirsty" or gets a lot of use.
3) Wipe off any extra dirt with a damp cloth and allow leather item to dry.

5. An old t-shirt (one that is in the Goodwill pile or should be in the Goodwill pile) is the best way to apply.

8. Consider trying a small amount of conditioner in an inconspicuous spot on your item.
9. Do not use leather conditioner on suede.
