Protecting Your Investments

As hints of spring start to tease this time of year, I can’t help but reflect on what a wonderful ski season it has been here for us in Oregon. We not only need the snow pack for our drought, but it’s been a particularly fun ski season for our family with plenty of powder and blue bird days.

Winter sports are such a great way to enjoy this season and keep away the winter blues. Like with so many others, it took on new meaning for our family during the past few years. Spending lots more time outside meant we really needed to upgrade our gear. Our go to gloves are from Hestra another multigenerational family owned business out of Sweden. Their leather gloves, while a substantial investment, provide warmth and protection like no others - cold hands are a sure fire recipe for misery. To keep those gloves in their peak condition they need be conditioned every 3-6 months. This is so important that Hestra even gives away a little sample pack of their leather conditioner with every pair of their gloves to ensure they resist moisture and wear and tear.

As the old Nordic saying goes, “Det finnes ikke dårlig vær, bare dårlig klær!” which translates to “There is no bad weather, only bad gear!” I couldn’t agree more and our products can protect your leather investments and make them last much longer.
